RIFLES & AMMUNITION

For smaller game a 1450 joule and for bigger game a 2700 joule with soft point bullets are recommended. Suggested telescope is a 6x40 and larger. The above are merely suggestions. You may use whatever you are comfortable with. Rifles and ammunition can be hired on request. Import permits for rifles and ammunition will be issued at the airport. You can print the attached FORM to complete prior to arrival. It is the same form you have to complete on arrival. You will need an INVITATION LETTER to import your rifle. Please keep this letter with you on arrival in Namibia. Handguns and automatic weapons are prohibited!
